City of Hot Springs Unveils New e-Subscription Service at www.cityhs.net.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- The public now has the ability to sign up to receive e-mail notifications through the City of Hot Springs Web site at www.cityhs.net.

Through the e-Subscription service, citizens and businesses can elect to receive e-mail notifications for new city job postings, upcoming city board agendas, and the latest issue of the quarterly citywide newsletter. The city plans to expand its list of e-subscriptions in the coming year.

"Citizens registering for e-Subscriptions can be assured of their privacy," said City of Hot Springs Public Information Officer Terry Payne. "They will only receive the information they choose, and no unsolicited e-mails will be sent to their e-mail addresses See Internet address.

"We anticipate that e-Subscriptions will not only provide greater citizen convenience, but will also save city staff time," said Hot Springs City Manager Kent Myers. "Instead of calling or visiting our offices to inquire about the latest city jobs available or an upcoming agenda item for the next city board meeting, a person can receive that information electronically."

The e-Subscription service will also provide broader access to publications such as the citywide newsletter, which is currently mailed to city residential street addresses only.

Rather than filling a subscriber's inbox with large e-mails, e-Subscription notifications simply contain a link to the desired information on the city's Web site. Every time relevant information is updated on the city's Web site, the subscriber will automatically be notified. To subscribe, visit www.cityhs.net and choose e-Subscriptions under the Services menu The Services menu (or simply Services) is a user interface element in a computer operating system. The services are programs that accept input from the user selection, process it, and optionally put the result back in the clipboard. .

The e-Subscription service was created by the Information Network of Arkansas (INA Ina (ē`nä), city (1990 pop. 60,062), Nagano prefecture, central Honshu, Japan, on the Tenryu River. It is an agricultural and industrial center with a famous agricultural school. ), the agency that supported the City of Hot Springs' major Web site upgrade last fall.
