City of Dallas Emergency Services Departments Launch Crucial Multi-million Dollar Public Safety Communications Initiative.

SAN DIEGO -- City Officials Select Computer-Aided Dispatch Solution from TriTech Software Systems

TriTech Software Systems, a leading provider of integrated multi-agency public safety software solutions, today announced that the eighth largest city in the United States has selected its core product offering, VisiCAD Command(TM), to replace Dallas' 30 year old computer-aided dispatch solution (CAD). The City of Dallas selected TriTech as the CAD vendor of choice to support its Police, Fire and EMS agencies. With the new system, Dallas emergency personnel will now be able to respond, operate and communicate in a more efficient and timely manner to its approximately 1,211,467 citizens.

The TriTech system will replace the City's custom mainframe software, which has become increasingly unreliable and challenging to support. The old system provides only limited capability for agencies to view where units are being dispatched and has no GIS functionality. The City of Dallas recognized the need to identify a turnkey solution that provided the necessary interoperability to share CAD data between city agencies and other jurisdictions.
