City of Bend, Oregon to Take State Lead in Digital, Online Plan Submission and Review with Avolve's ProjectDox ePlan Solution.


ePlan Submission Seen as Key Milestone in Bend's Green Initiatives

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Avolve Software, developers of ProjectDox([R]) communication and collaboration software See collaborative software. , announced today that the City of Bend, Oregon Bend is a city in Deschutes County, Oregon, United States. The name Bend was derived from "Farewell Bend," the designation used by early pioneers to refer to the location along the Deschutes River where the town eventually was platted, one of the few fordable points along the  has initiated an end-to-end digital plan submission and review program featuring Avolve Software's ProjectDox ePlan software. The City of Bend becomes the first community in the State of Oregon to implement a complete online solution for construction and land-use plan approval, in what is to become a state-wide technology standard for building and planning departments.

Located in Deschutes County at the geographic center of the state, the City of Bend is the heart of the scenic and rapidly growing Central Oregon Central Oregon is a geographical region lying near the center of the U.S. state of Oregon. The city's online ePlan submission system became operational in May 2008, and further integration with the city's existing permit application and tracking software is ongoing. The ePlan system is now available to select customers and will gradually include more types of permits and reviews.
