City launches power program.New York City Economic Development Corporation Overview New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) is a non-profit local development corporation that promotes economic growth across New York City's five boroughs. Alper announced the launch of 'Power Downtown,' a three-year electricity discount program created by the City of New York New York, state, United States New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. 'Power Downtown' reduces electricity costs by about $1 per SF of space occupied during the three years of the program. Businesses must be located on or south of Houston Street in lower Manhattan and have electricity usage between 10 and 400 kilowatts. Businesses that receive electricity through their landlords will have to obtain cooperation from them to participate in the program.
