In what amounts to a big vote of confidence, the workforce at the Castle Bromwich site have been given the nod as production centre for the replacement to the S-Type currently made there. Confirmation of the decision gives the Birmingham factory a much-needed morale boost after speculation about the company's future in parent Ford's top-to-tail business review, and plunging sales in the US.
