2012, the committee leading New York's bid to host the 2012 Olympic Games, sent its written submission to the International Olympic Committee “IOC” redirects here. For other uses, see IOC (disambiguation).

The International Olympic Committee (French: Comité International Olympique) is an organization based in Lausanne, Switzerland, created by Pierre de Coubertin and Demetrios Vikelas on June 23
 in Switzerland last week.

Doctoroff (born July 11, 1958) is Deputy Mayor for Economic Development and Rebuilding for the City of New York. Under the leadership of Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg, Doctoroff has overseen one of the city’s most dramatic economic resurgences, spearheading the effort , Deputy Mayor for Economic Development and Rebuilding for the City of New York and NYC2012 Founder. "This is a great race with world-class cities and we look forward with great anticipation to the next year and a half as we strive to make New York's Olympic dream a reality."

New York is competing against Havana, Istanbul, Leipzig, London, Madrid, Moscow, Paris and Rio de Janeiro Rio de Janeiro, city, Brazil

 for the right to host the Olympic Games in 2012: The International Olympic Committee will select a host for the 2012 Games on July 6, 2005 in Singapore.

The committee sent a 65-page questionnaire, the aim of which it to provide the IOC IOC
