The criminal complaints grew out of a major sweep by the Los Angeles Police Department's Bunco-Forgery Division last December. An estimated $1 million of phony merchandise and manufacturing equipment was seized and 19 persons were arrested during the raid. Deputy City Attorney Fay Chu, who is handling the case, said counterfeit merchandise being copied included lines by Nike, L.A. Gear, Coca Cola, Nintendo, Guess, Disney, Body Glove, Reebock.
