CHRIS COLEMAN Chris Coleman is the name of several people, including:
  • Chris Coleman (footballer), a Welsh former football player and then manager;
  • Chris Coleman (politician), Minnesota politician and (as of 2006) mayor of the state's capital city of Saint Paul;
 has switched his attention to two new loan targets after admitting the move to get Wolves' Sam Vokes Sam Vokes (born 21 October 1989) is an English football player with Welsh dual nationality. The Coventry City boss has revealed that chief scout Andy Thorn Andy Thorn (born February 4, 1982 in Waterford, Michigan) is an American football tight end in the NFL. He was left undrafted in the 2005 entry draft, but played for the Philadelphia Eagles practice squad in 2005.  and chairman Ray Ranson are busy trying to get two fresh faces in to bolster the Sky Blues attacking options.

"We have been quite busy this week," said the City boss who is hoping to bring in more experienced players.

"Andy Thorn and the chairman have been working hard. The Sam Vokes thing is dead in the water and I can't see that there is any way back on that now.

"But there are two or three other possibilities so we might be getting a couple of faces in, possibly. Maybe next week, fingers crossed."

 in his left foot, he said: "No, we have got options there but the problem we have got is if we lost one more, God forbid, because then we have got Adam Walker.

"No disrespect to Adam but he is not ready to play week in, week out, so at the minute we are all right but if we lost one more I wouldn't rule out bringing one in that position, but hopefully we will have enough with the likes of Isaac Osbourne and Michael McIndoe who can also do a job in the middle if needs be.

"So I am looking at a couple of forward-thinking players."

Saturday's game against Leicester City highlighted Coventry's lack of strength in depth with the fact that Coleman was forced to name five teenagers as his substitutes.

"I think if you look at Saturday's game and compare both benches, and that's no disrespect to our kids who will come good, I think that it hit home to us that we need to thicken the squad up with a couple of faces and a bit of experience," he said. "I have been saying for a long time what sort of squad we are trying to build and we don't want a load of 30-somethings, but we have got a young squad and the bench is just a little bit too young. "We have still got James McPake, David Bell, Marcus Hall and Ben Turner to come back, but if we can just get a couple of experienced boys to come in until January that's going to help us.

" Meanwhile, City have welcomed England Under-21s, who are training at Ryton all week ahead of Friday's Ricoh Arena match with Macedonia. "Stuart Pearce called us up two or threeweeks ago and asked if he could use the training ground and it is nice for us," said Coleman who is proud of the facility since its face-lift. "When I first arrived I would have said no because I wouldn't have wanted the England Under-21s to train here because the standard wasn't that good. But the training ground is much better now and we are delighted to welcome them to use our facilities this week."
