City chief in blast at West Brom.

Byline: Terry Phillips

PETER Ridsdale has described West Brom's refusal to allow Cardiff City fans more than 1,324 tickets at the Hawthorns as 'disgraceful'.

Bluebirds supporters are planning a silent, peaceful protest in West Brom a few hours before kick-off on Tuesday, December 8 and organiser Vince Alm says: "That may even be outside the home of Albion chairman Jeremy Peace Jeremy Roland Peace is the chairman of West Bromwich Albion Football Club, a professional football club in the West Midlands, England.

He was elected to the position of chairman in June 2002 following the resignation of Paul Thompson.
!" West Brom allow most Championship clubs 2,700 tickets for the away section at the Hawthorns. Cardiff City are usually docked 20% anyway because many of their fans tend to stand instead of sit down, which would mean they should be entitled en·ti·tle

have asked West Brom about allowing us more tickets, but the club refused," said Alm, who represents Cardiff City Supporters Club.

"We should have 2,000 tickets, but West Brom won't budge.

"They have not given us a reason and that's why we are planning a silent, peaceful protest.

"They have said they will look at it again in the future, but there is no reason for this and Cardiff City fans are sick of it.

"We are talking 600 more tickets for a match which families and kids would love to attend.

"Midweek away games when families can go together are rare and this is one of them."

Bluebirds chairman Ridsdale is backing the peaceful protest, saying: "The West Brom stance is disgraceful dis·grace·ful

Vince Alm and the Supporters Club have done an outstanding job standing up for the rights of fans.

"The football club have also been in touch with West Brom about this.

"Their position is unacceptable."
