RICARDO QUARESMA insists he has nothing to prove to Jose Mourinho after quitting Inter for a loan spell with Chelsea, ahead of today's visit of Hull.

The Portugal international was adamant there was no ill-feeling towards the former Chelsea coach.

"I don't regret going to Milan as sometimes things happen that you can't really control," admitted Quaresma. "These things happen in football.

"Players can't really prove anything, if they don't have the opportunity to show what they can do.

"Mr Scolari gives you lots of confidence so I am confident I will give my best for Chelsea. I want to show Chelsea my appreciation and joy on the pitch."

Chelsea are waiting on defender Ricardo Carvalho (hamstring), while, Hull are without striker Daniel Cousin (knee) and the suspended Bernard Mendy. Record signing Jimmy Bullard is also doubtful.

ASTON Villa aim to create club history by winning at Blackburn in today's Premier League clash - with manager Martin O'Neill admitting his side are better suited to playing away.
