City agrees with community board's Tribeca proposals.


After several years of disagreement with Community Board 1 over development in northern Tribeca, the Department of City Planning city planning, process of planning for the improvement of urban centers in order to provide healthy and safe living conditions, efficient transport and communication, adequate public facilities, and aesthetic surroundings.  has agreed to many of the board's suggestions and left the decision about how to handle affordable housing up to the board. Store sizes will be limited to prevent large clubs from coming to the neighborhood, and building height limits on Greenwich Greenwich, borough, Greater London, England
Greenwich (grĭn`īj, grĕn`–), outer borough (1991 pop. 200,800) of Greater London, SE England, on the Thames River. Manufactures include telephone equipment and underwater cable.
 Street will be lowered. City Planning may also restrict the amount of space banks can take up on the ground floors of buildings. The community board still has to decide whether to agree to bulkier, 120-foot buildings in part of the proposed rezoning area in exchange for 50 affordable housing units.
