City Nazim inaugurates maternity home, Family Park.

KARACHI, August 30, 2009 (Balochistan Times): The work on repair of roads and streets in Manzoor Colony will start after laying of water and sewerage system at a cost of Rs 540 million. Within a year all streets of this area would be metalled, said City Nazim syed Mustafa Kamal while talking to media after inaugurating a maternity home and family park in Manzoor Colony completed by city government at cost Rs 40 millin. Town Nazim Jamshed Town Javed Ahmed, Senior Presiding Officer City Council Masood Mahmood, EDO W&S Rasheed Mughal, EDO Health Dr.A.D. Sajnani, Director General Parks Liaquat Ali Khan, elected representatives, officers and people in large number were also present on the occasion. Mustafa Kamal said that Manzoor Colony is an old area where no health care or medical facility was provided to residents and present City government recovered an occupied land in the area and constructed the 26-bed maternity home at a cost of Rs 20 million with latest machinery and equipments. A health care center will also be established at this maternity home, he announced. He said CDGKs Haq Parast leadership has paid special attention on katchi abadies so that their residents could also avail the benefits of development. Referring to the park constructed on 10 acres of land, previously used as garbage dumping yard, Nazim said this beautiful park here has jogging track and other facilities for kids and families. He congratulated residents of Manzoor Colony for yet another facility in their area and said the journey of development has not stopped and will continue and construction of roads and streets of the colony will be completed in a year.
