City National Bank Names Cloyde Executive Vice President and Director of Banking Services.

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 9, 1998--City National Bank has appointed Jan R. Cloyde to the new position of executive vice president and director of Banking Services as part of the bank's ongoing efforts to enhance its infrastructure and its delivery systems to customers.

Cloyde will oversee the bank's information systems, the loan center, operations, management consulting and cash management. She will report directly to the chief executive officer and will also be a member of City National's Executive Committee.

Before joining City National Bank, Cloyde was executive vice president and director of banking services at Home Savings of America for two years. Prior to that she was executive vice president for First Interstate Bank. Her early banking experience was in bank operations and cash management at the Republic Bank in Texas and Crocker Bank in San Francisco.

Cloyde received a bachelor of science degree in 1972 and a master of science degree in 1974, both from Oklahoma State University.

Cloyde is active in the community as immediate past chairman of the board of the Big Sisters of Los Angeles, as a member of the board of trustees of the University of Redlands and was a founding board member for the Los Angeles Chapter of The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
