City National Bank Donates 10K to Lawrence Family Jewish Community Centers.


SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 14, 1998--City National Bank Friday announced a donation of $10,000 to the Lawrence Family Jewish Community Centers of San Diego San Diego (săn dēā`gō), city (1990 pop. 1,110,549), seat of San Diego co., S Calif., on San Diego Bay; inc. 1850. San Diego includes the unincorporated communities of La Jolla and Spring Valley. Coronado is across the bay.  County's capital campaign, "Get Centered."

, the Lawrence Family Jewish Community Centers offer programs and services that promote Jewish culture, heritage and values by providing social, cultural, educational and recreational activities to individuals and families.

"With a long history in San Diego, the Lawrence Family Jewish Community Centers of San Diego are some of the city's finer institutions, promoting an environment that encourages enrichment and educational development for all ages," said Fred Baranowski, senior vice president and manager of City National Bank, San Diego region.

The primary goal of the "Get Centered" capital campaign is to finance expansion plans that include an early-childhood-education complex, a cultural-arts complex, and a sports-and-fitness complex. Future projects include a youth-and-teen center, a senior center, a library and administration offices.
