Wheat Ridge is a western suburb of Denver. The Wheat Ridge Municipal Center is 5 miles (8 km) . The city, just west of Denver, cited ARC Wireless for its "growth during 2005 in both employment and net revenue."

In announcing the award on behalf of the City Manager's Office and the Economic Development Office, Barbara Delgadillo noted that the Company would be honored at a City Council Meeting July 24.
