Fourteen brave employees from the City of Bellflower, a suburb located in southeast Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  County (pop. 75,000), recently demonstrated their support for a co-worker to raise money for cancer research.

As a show of support to help Pam through her treatment, and with her full participation, several City employees and a ranking Council member on March 19 completely shaved their heads, and three employees trimmed 10" off their hair, to increase awareness about cancer and raise money for cancer organizations. The goal to raise $5,000 was eclipsed when the final tally of $8,364 was announced.
