Approximately 35,000 people are expected to descend on Boston for the Democratic National Convention during the week of July 26, and in New York, the Republican National Convention is expected to draw 50,000 visitors to the area during the week of August 30. Due to this tremendous increase in area traffic, both conventions have been declared National Security Special Events by the Department of Homeland Security, requiring numerous road closures and public transportation disruptions among other temporary safety measures.

To reduce the impact that the resulting congestion will have on Boston- and New York-based businesses, Citrix is providing customers with an access infrastructure solution that will give their employees on-demand access to all their corporate applications, information and services from anywhere, using any device, over any network connection. Qualified customers who apply for the program prior to the conventions will receive a 30 day, 99-user version of the Citrix(R) MetaFrame(R) Access Suite free of charge. The only costs associated with the program are partner implementation services.
