Citrix and Ericsson Sign Licensing Agreement to Enhance Application Access With Mobile Communication Devices.

Citrix Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:CTXS) and Ericsson Mobile Communications today announced a licensing agreement to incorporate Citrix(R) Independent Computing Architecture (ICA(R)) technology in Ericsson's integrated mobile information devices, which will be designed on the Communicator Platform. The Citrix ICA Client for the Symbian Platform will allow Ericsson to provide users of the 1/4 VGA handheld devices - offering high-performance mobile Internet and multimedia communication - with access to applications running on Citrix MetaFrame(TM) servers over wireless connections. Users will benefit from access to full-function business applications, as well as mobile Internet browsing, messaging, imaging, telephony and personal information management while away from their desks and in transit.

Ericsson will demonstrate the Communicator Platform prototype at CeBIT on Stand D68, Hall 26. The Communicator Platform being shown at CeBIT is a fully working prototype, representing the platform on which Ericsson intends to build future commercial products.
