Citrix Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:CTXS), a global leader in application server software and services, today previewed the extended platform release of its flagship MetaFrame(TM) software at Citrix(R) iForum(TM) 2000. This offering will be the first platform release under Citrix's new, modular product delivery system, which separates feature enhancements from architectural changes. The company recently delivered its first feature release on the MetaFrame 1.8 platform, which added important customer-focused enhancements in usability, security and performance.

The MetaFrame extended platform release is based on a robust, management architecture that provides centralized management and administration for future Citrix products. It further extends the value of Microsoft(R) Windows(R) 2000 and Microsoft Windows NT(R) 4.0, Terminal Server Edition servers with enterprise-level scalability, manageability and extensibility, enabling companies to improve productivity and gain a competitive advantage.
