Citrix Fellows Program Recognizes Innovative Technical Leadership and Achievement; Chief Architect Brad Pedersen, Inventor of Citrix ICA, Named First Citrix Fellow.

The title was conferred on Pedersen at a recent company ceremony.

One of the original Citrix employees, Pedersen joined the company in 1989 from IBM (International Business Machines Corporation, Armonk, NY, www.ibm.com) The world's largest computer company. IBM's product lines include the S/390 mainframes (zSeries), AS/400 midrange business systems (iSeries), RS/6000 workstations and servers (pSeries), Intel-based servers (xSeries) , and has played a key role in the development of every Citrix product, from MultiWin(TM) and WinView(R) through the MetaFrame(R) Access Suite. He holds nine patents and has submitted an additional nine patent applications for software techniques and approaches that have been incorporated into Citrix products. As chief architect, he defines the long-term framework for Citrix technology, and ensures that new products and components fit into this master design. Pedersen also provides guidance to the company's 15 architects and manages the patent application process.

Under the new Citrix Fellows program, a maximum of one individual contributor is accepted per year. That person must demonstrate unique contributions to the company's strategic vision and execution in the area of technology.
