Citrix Expands Its Market-Leading SSL VPN Product Line; New Access Gateway Enterprise Edition Broadens Citrix's Leadership in Access Security and Control.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- Citrix Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:CTXS), the global leader in access infrastructure solutions, today announced an extension of its popular Access Gateway SSL VPN product line by unveiling the new Citrix Access Gateway(TM) Enterprise Edition. Citrix Access Gateway was the fastest growing SSL VPN solution on the market in 2005(1), passing the previous market leader in total unit shipments in the second half of the year, and was also named a visionary in the most recent Gartner Magic Quadrant report(2). With this announcement, Citrix extends its SSL VPN leadership for large customers with a new Access Gateway edition that adds increased scalability and performance for the most complex and demanding enterprise environments.

It was only a year ago that Citrix changed the shape of the SSL VPN market by introducing Citrix Access Gateway, an innovative way to provide secure remote access to all applications and protocols, overcoming the limitations of both traditional IPSec VPNs and first-generation SSL VPNs. The new product quickly gained popularity by delivering a far simpler, easier-to-deploy, more cost-effective way to extend secure access to all users.

In late 2005, Citrix enhanced its Access Gateway product line by integrating Advanced Access Control capabilities that manage who gets access to what information and what they can do with it once accessed. Using Citrix(R) SmartAccess technology, Advanced Access Control transforms access from an "on/off switch" to a "dimmer" which, based on the access scenario, can finely control the degree of access by determining which actions, such as the viewing, editing, saving and printing of information, the user will be permitted to perform.

With the new Citrix Access Gateway Enterprise Edition, Citrix now offers customers a complete product line of SSL VPN solutions targeted to match their exact requirements:

The Access Gateway family will be available on a range of different hardware appliances designed to match customer needs such as scalability, performance and throughput.

Pricing and Availability

The Standard and Advanced Editions of the Citrix Access Gateway are available today through Citrix authorized resellers. Pricing starts at $2,495 per appliance plus $99 per concurrent user. The new Citrix Access Gateway Enterprise Edition, and new Access Gateway appliance models, will be available through Citrix authorized resellers starting Q2 2006.
