Citrix Announces Two New Certifications to Meet Growing Market Need for Expertise in Application Server Computing.

Offers Advanced Technical Certification for Large Enterprises, and

Sales Professional Certification for Citrix Business Partners

Citrix(R) Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:CTXS) today announced two new certification programs that address growing market demand for expertise in the company's application server solutions. The Citrix Certified Enterprise Administrator (CCEA) and Citrix Certified Sales Professional (CCSP) programs complement and expand existing Citrix certifications and make it easier for customers and business partners to derive maximum value from their Citrix application server computing implementations.

"The launch of these new programs attests to growing market demand for application server solutions, as well as the diversification of our product line," said Bill Brown, director of education programs for Citrix. "Our large customers, who are building extensive application server installations, require high-level expertise in-house. And as we expand our offerings, members of the Citrix channel organization, consulting alliance and business alliance need a formal method for training their sales and marketing professionals in Citrix products, services and technologies. Our new certification programs were created to meet these needs."

The CCEA designation is designed to provide organizations with large Citrix implementations a higher level expertise for installing and administering the full array of Citrix products. Becoming a CCEA requires certification as a Citrix MetaFrame(TM) or WinFrame(R) administrator (CCA), as well as successful completion of four examinations covering Citrix Management Services (Resource Management Services, Installation Management Services, Secure ICA(TM) and Load Balancing/Program Neighborhood(TM)). Candidates can prepare for the examinations by attending Citrix Resource Management Services Administration (CTX-401) and Advanced Citrix Server Implementation (CTX-410) courses conducted at a Citrix Authorized Learning Center (CALC).

The CCSP is a sales certification for individuals who need general knowledge of Citrix products and services for effective selling and marketing activities. Candidates can prepare for the examination by attending the Selling Citrix Solutions (CTX-5080) course conducted by Citrix or a CALC, or by completing the self-study materials.

Courses that prepare students for CCEA or CCSP certification include:

-- CTX-401: Citrix Resource Management Services Administration

(1-day course)

This course provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to install, configure and administer Citrix Resource Management Services. Students will also learn how to install and configure ODBC databases (SQL 6.5) for connecting to a Citrix Resource Management Services system.

-- CTX-410: Advanced Citrix Server Implementation (2-day course)

This advanced course provides students with in-depth knowledge of Citrix products and server-based computing. Focusing on key topics that impact deployment of Citrix products in all environments, CTX-410 emphasizes the enterprise, highlighting best practices and procedures.

-- CTX-5080: Selling Citrix Solutions (4-hour course)

This course provides students with a general knowledge of Citrix technology, products and services and prepares them for selling and marketing Citrix products. Students will learn how to present Citrix technology as a solution to their prospective customers. This course is also available as self-study.
