(Nasdaq:CTXS CTXS Citrix Systems (NASDAQ stock ticker symbol) ) today announced a formal migration program for existing customers of NTRIGUE, the Insignia Solutions' product that contains technologies recently acquired by Citrix. To ensure the continued satisfaction of NTRIGUE customers, Citrix has developed a simple and cost-effective migration path to its own WinFrame thin-client/server software or to WinFrame-based products from OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) The rebranding of equipment and selling it. The term initially referred to the company that made the products (the "original" manufacturer), but eventually became widely used to refer to the organization that buys the products and  partners, NCD NCD - Network Computing Devices  and Tektronix.

"As a Citrix OEM, Insignia built a strong base of customers who need to provide Windows-based applications to UNIX and Macintosh devices," said David Weiss, director of product management for Citrix. "WinFrame thin-client/server software makes it easy for customers to deploy Windows-based applications across heterogeneous computing environments, and we are committed to providing NTRIGUE customers with an easy migration path to WinFrame."

Macintosh and UNIX ICA Support

For organizations seeking to deploy Windows-based applications to UNIX workstations and Macintosh computers, Citrix WinFrame thin-client/server software provides a high-performance, low-cost way to deliver Windows-based applications, such as e-mail, office and personal productivity programs, from a single machine -- without application rewrites, special emulation software or additional hardware. Citrix's ICA clients for UNIX workstations and Macintosh computers, when used in conjunction with Citrix WinFrame thin-client/server software, extends the reach of Windows-based applications to a broader range of client devices. The UNIX and Macintosh ICA clients can be downloaded for free from Citrix's website, http://www.citrix.com for use with WinFrame software.

NTRIGUE customers can also take advantage of Citrix's special pricing on WinFrame 1.7 thin-client/server software. Through April 30, 1998, existing NTRIGUE customers can upgrade to Citrix WinFrame 1.7 thin-client/server software with 15-concurrent user licenses for $395 through members of the Citrix Solutions Network. After this date, the upgrade price will increase to $995.
