Citrix Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:CTXS), a global leader in virtual workplace software and services, announced today that Bob Kruger, senior vice president of product development and chief technology officer, has been recently elected to the National Board of Directors of AeA, the nation's largest high-tech trade association. Formerly the American Electronics Association, AeA has more than 3,500 members and is dedicated to shaping public policy at both the local and national level.

In his new position with AeA, Kruger will support the association's mission to promote American leadership in engineering, science and related technical fields and its role as "the voice of the U.S. technology community." As a director-at-large serving a two-year term, Kruger will participate in the Technology and Communications Convergence Committee.

Citrix has been an active corporate member of AeA since 1995 at both the national level and through AeA's Florida Council, which serves the state from two offices located in Central and South Florida. The Florida Council represents the interests of the high-tech industry to local, regional and state governments.
