Citizens Holding Company Announces Third Quarter Dividend.

PHILADELPHIA, Miss.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 6, 2000

Citizens Holding Company (AMEX:CIZ) today announced that its Board of Directors has declared a regular quarterly cash dividend of $.10 (ten cents) per share payable September 29, 2000, to shareholders of record on September 18, 2000.

Steve Webb, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Citizens Holding Company said, "We are pleased to announce today the declaration of our third quarter dividend in the amount of $.10 per share payable September 29, 2000. When annualized, this dividend is an increase of 25% over the dividends of $.32 paid in 1999."
