This marks the completion of the second repurchase of shares since the initial public offering of Citizens First Bancorp, Inc. common stock. The Company has repurchased a total of 952,726 shares since March 2001. Upon completion of the second repurchase program, the Company had 8,574,035 shares outstanding.

On July 18, 2002 the Company's Board of Directors declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.08 per share. The cash dividend will be payable on August 13, 2002 to stockholders of record on August 2, 2002.
