Citizens Communications names new Operations VP.


STAMFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 23, 1997--Citizens Communications Vice President Ronald E. Spears has announced the appointment of Dale Register as Western Regional Vice President of Operations.

Register's responsibilities include all Citizens telephone operations in California, Arizona, Oregon, Nevada, Utah, Montana, Idaho, and New Mexico New Mexico, state in the SW United States. Register began his career in the telecommunications industry 26 years ago. More than 20 years were spent with increasing responsibilities at BellSouth. He also was responsible for directing the design and construction of the telecommunications network for Optus Communications, the second licensed carrier in Australia.

Register graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology Massachusetts Institute of Technology, at Cambridge; coeducational; chartered 1861, opened 1865 in Boston, moved 1916. It has long been recognized as an outstanding technological institute and its Sloan School of Management has notable programs in business,  as a Sloan Fellow with a Master of Science Degree in Management. He also received a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida University of Florida is the third-largest university in the United States, with 50,912 students (as of Fall 2006) and has the eighth-largest budget (nearly $1.9 billion per year). UF is home to 16 colleges and more than 150 research centers and institutes. .
