: CZN) announced today that Scott N. Schneider is now President and Chief Operating Officer Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Schneider, who is a member of Citizens' Board of Directors, succeeds Rudy J. Graf who has held the position of President and Chief Operating Officer for three years. Graf will remain a member of the Board of Directors of Citizens Communications. Also today, John H. "Jake" Casey III becomes Executive Vice President of Citizens Communications. He will continue as President and Chief Operating Officer of Citizens' telecommunications segment.

Prior to joining Citizens Communications in 1999, Schneider was Chief Financial Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of Century Communications Corp. During his 18-year career with Century, Schneider was an architect of its financial strategies during a period of dramatic growth for Century and the cable television industry. He was also a member of the founding management team of Centennial Cellular Corp., a wireless telecommunications provider in the United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America. From 1988 to 1999, in addition to his responsibilities at Century, Schneider served as Centennial's Chief Financial Officer and as a member of its Board of Directors. Centennial and Century were sold in 1999.

Schneider serves on the Board and is a member of the executive committee of the Silvermine Art Guild in New Canaan, Conn. He also serves on the Board of the Ridgefield, Conn., Symphony Orchestra. He was educated at Pace University in New York New York, state, United States
New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Atlantic Ocean (E), New Jersey and Pennsylvania (S), Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Canadian province of
, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude, receiving degrees in finance and accounting.

Jake Casey succeeds Schneider as Executive Vice President of Citizens Communications. Prior to joining Citizens Communications in 1999, Casey was with Centennial Cellular Corp., serving first as Vice President and General Manager of an operating region, then as Vice President, Operations, and finally as Senior Vice President, Administration.

From 1979 through 1989, Casey was with Metromedia Paging Company, a wireless paging carrier, in a variety of operating roles, most recently as Vice President and General Manager of the company's Texas operations. Casey holds a BBSA BBSA Black Business Students Association
