Citizens Banking Corporation Appoints Director of Commercial Products and Sales.

Wendy K. Hemingway has been named senior vice president and director of commercial products and sales for Citizens Banking Corporation (Nasdaq:CBCF), a $7.8 billion bank holding company, operating Citizens Bank in Michigan and Illinois and F&M Bank in Wisconsin and Iowa.

In making the announcement William R. Hartman, chairman, president and CEO of Citizens said, "We have created this new position to help guide our current efforts to dramatically upgrade our treasury management products and services and to manage the sales of these non-credit business products to our clients. Wendy brings the expertise, sales management and leadership skills to help our company take advantage of the significant potential that our upgraded product line will provide us."

Prior to joining Citizens, Hemingway was vice president, director of public funds, for Fifth Third's East Michigan affiliate. In that role she was responsible for growth of the bank's presence in the non-profit, municipal and association sectors. From 2000 to 2002, Hemingway was director of treasury. As such, she managed all commercial fee income lines of business for the bank's East Michigan affiliate. She joined Old Kent Bank in 1999 and prior to the bank's merger with Fifth Third served as vice president and treasury sales manager.

Hemingway began her banking career in 1988 in retail administration at NBD Bank, Detroit, Michigan. Subsequently she became a senior sales analyst in the bank's corporate cash management area and served as a cash management sales representative.

In 1994, Hemingway joined National City Corporation as vice president, treasury sales representative for the company's Michigan bank and later served as the regional treasury manager.

Hemingway received her BS degree in human resources development and management from Oakland University and her MBA in Accounting from Wayne State University. She is also a Certified Treasury Professional and maintains memberships in the professional associations including the Association of Financial Professionals, the Detroit Treasury Management Association and in many other public sector associations.
