Citigroup in Delaware Awards $450,000 in Grants To 32 Local Non-Profits on November 13; Lt. Governor of the State of Delaware, John Carney, is Honored Guest.

NEW CASTLE, Del.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 10, 2003

Citigroup's banking units -- Citibank Delaware, Citicorp Trust Bank, fsb, and Citicorp Credit Services, Inc. -- will award a total of $450,000 in grants to 32 local non-profits during a reception being held on November 13. The Fund also offers borrowers a variety of technical assistance and training opportunities focused on ways to grow their businesses.

Interfaith Housing is a statewide housing developer for affordable rental and homeownership housing.  families around the world become homeowners. In Delaware, the local banks supported the work of the local chapter in New Castle to build one home per year, financing half the cost per year of a home in Middletown, Wilmington and Minquadale.

The Nehemiah Gateway Community Development Corporation is a faith-based community-focused grassroots organization that provides programs for job skills development and job placement, financial education and matched savings programs. The Latin American Community Center Development Corporation is building a 24-unit senior citizen affordable housing apartment building (due to be completed in the Fall of 2005) at Fifth and Jackson Streets in Wilmington, as well as buying, renovating and selling homes in the Hilltop area for homeownership. They provide housing development and asset building programs to the Westside of Wilmington, which is commonly known as the Hilltop community.
