Citigroup honcho elected to Enterprise board of trustees.

Enterprise Community Partners announced that Bill Beckmann, president and chief operating officer of CitiMortgage, has been elected to its Board of Trustees.

"We look forward to the contributions of Bill Beckmann, who brings more than 20 years of experience in real estate finance and other financial services to Enterprise," said Enterprise Chairman and CEO Bart Harvey.

"He will be an asset as we continue to marshal the resources needed to provide affordable housing in thriving communities for families throughout this country."

Prior to assuming his current role at CitiMortgage in July 2005, Beckmann served as the chief servicing and technology officer for Citigroup's Real Estate Servicing and Technology Division. In that role, he had oversight for servicing and technology of Citigroup's residential real estate properties, including CitiMortgage, CitiFinancial Mortgage, Citicorp Trust Bank, Private Mortgage Operations and the CitiFinancial Network.

As the former president of Specialty Lending within the Citigroup's U.S. Consumer Assets Division, Beckmann was responsible for The Student Loan Corporation (SLC), First Collateral Services (FCS), and Private Mortgage Operations (PMO) business units.

Beckmann was previously vice president of strategy and new business development at IBM, where, for two years, he helped form and subsequently joined IBM's Global Internet Division before rejoining Citigroup. He has also held a variety of positions in Citibank's consumer and information businesses.

Beckmann received a M.S. in management from the Stanford Sloan Program and a B.A. in mathematical economics from Brown University.
