Citigroup among Wall Street big movers


Stocks that were moving substantially or trading heavily Monday on the New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq Stock Market:

NYSE

Citigroup Inc., up $1.05 at $47.72.

The nation's largest financial institution warned that third-quarter profit will fall because of subprime mortgage and credit market exposure, but said the current period should see a return to more normal earnings levels.

Walgreen Co., down $7.08 at $40.16.

The drugstore operator reported fourth-quarter profit dropped 4 percent due to lower reimbursements on generic drugs.

Pulte Homes Inc., up $1.18 at $14.79.

A Citigroup analysts upgraded a number of homebuilders on the belief that large-cap builders with stronger balance sheets should benefit in the coming quarters.

NASDAQ

Acxiom Corp., down $3.90 at $15.89.

The database technology company said its buyout from an investment group headed by private-equity firm Silver Lake Partners has been canceled.

Teva Pharmaceuticals Industries Ltd., up 46 cents at $44.93.

The Israeli generic drug developer settled a legal settlement to allow it to sell GlaxoSmithKline Plc drugs in the US.

Allied Healthcare International Inc., up 66 cents at $3.05.

The health care staffing company said it sold two subsidiaries to Air Liquide Group, which makes industrial and medical gases, for $74.7 million.
