Citigroup Names Trainer Head of Global Information Technology.


NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 16, 1999--

In announcing the appointment, Mary Alice Taylor, Senior Corporate Officer of Citigroup and head of Global Operations and Technology said: "Tom has tremendous experience in managing and coordinating complex technology initiatives across a global scale. His leadership in this field will strengthen Citigroup's Information Technology efforts across all our businesses worldwide."

Mr. Trainer, joined Eli Lilly in 1995, where he served as the Chief Information Officer and a member of the Executive Committee. In this capacity, he reported to the company President and managed Lilly's global IT organization, spanning over 100 countries. During his tenure at Eli Lilly, the company received several prestigious awards in recognition of its leadership in the use of information technology, including the CIO-100 award, the Computerworld Global 10 award and the Information Week 100 award.
