An association that is given tax-free status. Donations to a non-profit organization are often tax deductible as well.

The grants will be presented to the recipient organizations during a breakfast held at the Citigroup building, One Court Square in Long Island City, on December 16th beginning at 8:30 AM. Established by Citibank employees in 1998, the Citigroup Employee Community Fund is a charitable giving program that is funded with contributions from employees and the Citigroup Foundation. Recipients of grants from the fund, which in 2004 continues to target organizations supporting health and human services programs, are selected by a review committee made up of Citigroup employees. To date, up to $2 million has been awarded through the Citigroup Employee Community Fund.
