Citicorp names Julian Simmonds Derivatives Head; Guy Whittaker to Head Foreign Exchange; Tom Bergen to Head Treasury and Futures.


NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 17, 1996--Citicorp announced today that it has named Julian Julian

Mr. Simmonds was previously Global Head of Foreign Exchange, a position he held since 1994. Joining Citicorp in 1972, he held positions in Consumer Finance and Financial Control, before moving to Treasury in 1977. He has risen to increasingly senior positions in Foreign Exchange in London and was named Head of Trading in 1988. His responsibilities continued to grow and he was named head of European European

Mr. Simmonds succeeds Junaid Rubbani, who has left Citicorp to pursue other business interests.

Succeeding Mr. Simmonds in his FX post is Guy Whittaker, who was previously head of Foreign Exchange and Trading in the United Kingdom. Mr. Whittaker has been with Citicorp for 16 years and has extensive experience in foreign exchange, funding and treasury management.
