Citibank names George C. Mead, former Greenwich resident, to head marketing for Northwest Russia.


NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 23, 1997--George C. Mead mead (mēd), wine made of fermented honey and water, sometimes flavored with spices. It is highly intoxicating. Mead was known in classical Greece and Rome and was the favorite drink of the tribes of N and W Europe. , a Vice-President of Citibank, has assumed the position of Head of Marketing for the bank's activities in Northwest Russia. Mead, who is from Greenwich, has moved to St. Petersburg from Kazakstan, where he had been Citibank Country Officer.

His prior experience at Citibank also included assignments in the countries of Colombia, Ecuador, Lebanon and Venezuela.
