RELEASE: Citation Resources - Summary of First Three Drill Holes

on the Fors Property, Southeastern British Columbia

Citation Resources Inc. (the "Company") (ASE/VSE:CUE).

At the request of the Vancouver Stock Exchange this news release is being issued to clarify the news release disseminated earlier today.

The Company is pleased to announce the summary of the first three drill holes on the Fors property:

Drillhole CF96-1 was collared November 2, 1996 and drilled at -70 degrees to the northeast (to a depth of 322m) in the lower part of Middle Aldridge stratigraphy where the hole was lost due to jammed rods.

Drillhole CF96-2 was collared at the same location as CF96-1 and drilling commenced November 11, 1996. From 0 to 190m, the hole cored typical Middle Aldridge sediments. From 190 to 260m, a zone of slumping was encountered corresponding with the stratigraphic level of bedded massive sulphide mineralization intersected at the Fors Vent area 500m to the southeast of CF96-2.

Previous drilling intersected stratiform mineralization grading 8.29 percent lead, 0.71 percent zinc and 2.19oz/ton silver over 6.25m in DDH F92-02 at the Fors Vent. From 260 to 284.5m, the hole again cored typical Middle Aldridge sediments. From a depth of 284.5 to 534.5m, moderately to intensely albitized Middle Aldridge sediments were cored. Within this zone, a high angle massive pyrrhotite- chalcopyrite-sphalerite vein and a 3.5m wide cross-cutting fragmental were encountered. From 534.5 to 980m the hole cored a thick gabbro sill-like arch complex. Near the top of this sill a 8.2m thick matrix supported fragmental bed occurs as a screen of sediment within the sill. Below the arch, at a depth of 1021m, a 23.3m thick zone containing four stratabound fragmental beds ranging from 1.2 to 2.8m in thickness were intersected. Evidence of tourmalinization and albitization was noted within the fragmental zone. No significant mineralization was associated with the fragmental. From the base of the fragmental zone at 1044.4 to 1128.5m (84.1m) numerous thin beds of brown to black tourmalinite were cored. From 1128.5 to 1211.3m, two intervals of continuously thin laminated siltstone, interpreted to be the "Sullivan Horizon", were cored. No significant mineralization is noted within the thin laminates. Below the thin laminates, quartzites and siltstones were cored with a noticeable decrease in tourmalinization. The hole reached a final depth of 1255.2m within the "footwall quartzite" unit.

Drillhole CF96-3 was collared December 10, 1996, situated 650m north of CF96-2. The hole drilled to a depth of 1322.9m at -80 degrees to the east. Sediments of the lower portion of the Middle Aldridge were cored to a depth of 791.8m where the gabbro arch was intersected. The hole continued in the gabbro arch to 1081.4m where the hole exited into totally disrupted, fragmented and homogenized Middle Aldridge sediments. An interval from 1141.2 to 1179.5m contains abundant disseminations and splashes of sphalerite and galena. Visual estimates suggest combined lead-zinc grades from this section will assay less than 2 percent. Assays from a portion of the section are expected within a week. Stratigraphically this mineralized interval is interpreted to be at "Sullivan Time". Immediately beneath the mineralized zone is a 29.5m thick tourmalinized interval. CF96-3 was terminated at 1372.9m within the "footwall quartzites".

In summary, drilling results from holes CF96-2 and CF96-3 are encouraging, encountering massive pyrrhotite veins, abundantly disseminated sphalerite and galena at "Sullivan Time", black and brown tourmalinite, bedded fragmental, albitite, cross-cutting fragmental, and intensely disrupted sediments adjacent to and below the Fors massive sulphide Pb-Zn-Ag deposit and outlining an area of at least 1km x 400m.

These features are analogous to the alteration and mineralization observed peripheral to the 160 million tonne Sullivan PB-Zn-Ag deposit, 30 kilometres to the north.

Drillhole CF97-4 is currently being drilled at an angle of -75 degrees to the south from the same location as CF96-2. The projected pierce point at "Sullivan Time" for this hole is intended to be approximately 450m southwest of the Fors Vent Complex.

The Company has acquired additional ground adjacent to the Fors claims, consisting of eleven 2-post claims. Under the terms of an option agreement, the Company can acquire a 100 percent interest in the DAR claims by paying $200,000, and issuing up to 50,000 shares in staged payments. A 1 percent NSR royalty is payable to the Optionor on production.
