Citadel Technology Announces 3Com to offer WinShield and FolderBolt Software to all customers purchasing Office Connect, Courier, Courier I-Modem, US Robotics ISDN Terminal Adaptors in the U.S.

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 2, 1999--Citadel Technology, Inc. (OTCBB:CITN) announced today an agreement whereby 3Com Corporation (NASDAQ: COMS) will promote and sell Citadel's award winning WinShield and FolderBolt software as part of a 3Com promotion.

This offer will initially be made available to all customers purchasing Office Connect, Courier, Courier I-Modem, US Robotics ISDN Terminal Adapters in the U.S. and is promoted on 3Com's "Connection CD".

WinShield is specifically designed to protect the configuration of Windows 95, Windows 98 and Windows NT desktops. Each WinShield profile determines what applications can be accessed at the desktop, the extent to which a user can modify system settings and desktop appearance, which specific CD-ROMs can be used, and the drives the user can access.

FolderBolt is designed to protect information stored on desktop or laptop computers that could be copied, lost or stolen. FolderBolt gives users the ability to password protect (bolt) and encrypt data files to prevent unauthorized access. FolderBolt users can e-mail or send on disk, encrypted files that can be opened, with the proper password, without requiring a copy of FolderBolt on the recipient's PC. FolderBolt's Secure Delete feature overwrites files, bypasses the Window's Recycle Bin and ensures secure deletion of files to an absolutely unrecoverable state.
