Citadel Technology, Inc. (OTCBB:CITN) today announced they will preview the brand new network version of their Secure PC security software at three trade shows this November. Shows include the Technology & Learning Conference being held from November 10 through 12 in Dallas, Texas; the Computer Security Information Conference in Washington, DC November 14 through 16; and Fall Comdex October 15 through 19 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Secure PC takes security to a new level by combining advanced security features such as Internet and e-mail Control, Application Control, File/Folder Security, Password Protected Screen Blocker and Automated Logoff for Inactive Computers, with a strong core set of desktop protection features that prevent end-users from changing system settings, modifying desktop appearances and installing unauthorized software.

Secure PC helps reduce end-user support costs and system downtime by controlling access to system settings and preventing accidental or deliberate changes. Businesses, government and school System Administrators now have a much better solution than spending time using Image-based products to re-image user's hard drives over and over after users have damaged their computer by making changes or installing new software. Secure PC helps increase end-user productivity by controlling the use of the Internet and e-mail. Schools can filter out dangerous sites containing inappropriate information or only allow children to access "approved" sites. Secure PC also lets administrators take complete control over which Windows applications the end-user can access and run, as well as the length of time that access will be allowed. Organizations struggling to keep end-users from installing unauthorized software can now proactively enforce their policies. Secure PC can be set to prevent the end-user from running setup and InstallShield and control the use of floppy and CD-ROM drives to prevent software installation. Secure PC improves overall security by monitoring computer inactivity. When a system has been inactive for a predefined period of time, Secure PC can launch a password protected screen blocker and lock the keyboard and mouse to protect the system. Secure PC can also be set to logoff inactive systems at the end of a workday or after a predefined period of inactivity. Most data theft and unauthorized network use occurs when users leave their computers on, unattended.

To protect each system's hard drive, system files, applications and icons, Secure PC provides Folder Protection that allows the administrator to protect access to drives, folders, files, and shortcuts as "locked" or "read-only". This controls which hard drive files and folders end-users may access and prevents unauthorized renaming, moving, copying, saving or deleting. Secure PC's "Exception" feature allows administrators to specify certain programs such as antivirus, backup, defrag and scandisk, which may override this security.

Secure PC Network version is installed and configured on an NT or NetWare server. The Secure PC client program and security settings are automatically pushed out to the workstation when the end-user logs on. The Network version supports Novell NetWare and Microsoft Windows NT Server networks, with Windows 95, 98 and NT clients. *Windows 2000 is planned to be supported after it is officially released to the public.
