Citadel Environmental Group Inc. Announces Agreement With Browning-Ferris Industries.

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 23, 1998--Citadel Environmental Group Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: CTEV) Tuesday announced the signing of an agreement between Alliance Medical Corp. ("Alliance") and Browning-Ferris Industries ("BFI") that expands Alliance's capability to offer reprocessed medical instruments and devices to the medical services industry.

"The contract with BFI is a major advantage because it will provide Alliance with the means of expanding sales and impacting the marketplace on a national level. Reprocessing operations on this scale will add tremendous profit potential for both Alliance and hospital customers, and prevent millions of medical instruments from finding their way into landfills across the country. The agreement calls for Alliance's decontamination facilities to be constructed at or near BFI treatment/transfer locations. Thefirst such facility is currently under construction in Apopka, Fla. and is slated to commence operations July 1, 1998. A second facility is planned for Vernon, Calif.

"As the nation's leader in medical waste services, BFI now can offer our hospital customers the full spectrum of recycling services," said Larry Merington, division vice president of Medical Waste. "The addition of reprocessed high-end products from hospitals compliments BFI's current recycling services for such materials as paper products and aluminum."

Through cooperative marketing efforts, this agreement also will significantly enhance the distribution component of Alliance's Sharps reprocessing program.
