Citadel Broadcasting Corporation NYSE: CDL is a Las Vegas, Nevada based broadcast holding company. Investment house Forstmann Little & Company owns 27% of Citadel.
 Corporation today announced that it has entered into an agreement with Wilks Broadcasting LLC (Logical Link Control) See "LANs" under data link protocol.

, an affiliate of The Wicks Group of Companies, L.L.C., to acquire 11 radio stations in New Orleans New Orleans (ôr`lēənz –lənz, ôrlēnz`), city (2006 pop. 187,525), coextensive with Orleans parish, SE La., between the Mississippi River and Lake Pontchartrain, 107 mi (172 km) by water from the river mouth; founded , La., Des Moines, Iowa “Des Moines” redirects here. Des Moines (pronounced /dɪˈmɔɪn/ in English,
, and Springfield, Mo. for $133 million.

The agreement is subject to customary conditions and regulatory approval.

The stations included in the transaction are KBGG(AM), KHKI(FM), KGGO(FM), KJJY(FM), and KRKQ(FM) in Iowa; KMEZ(FM), KKND KKnD Krush, Kill 'n' Destroy (computer game) (FM), WPRF(FM), and WOPR WOPR Wodne Ochotnicze Pogotowie Ratunkowe (Polish: water rescue teams and lifeguards)
WOPR Woody's Office POWER Pack
WOPR Western Oregon Plan Revisions
WOPR Workshop on Performance and Reliability
(FM) in Louisiana; and KHTO(FM) and KZRQ(FM) in Missouri. In Louisiana, Citadel currently owns six stations in Baton Rouge and eight in Lafayette.

Wilks Broadcasting is an affiliate of The Wicks Group of Companies, L.L.C. (www.wicksgroup.com), a New York-based private equity firm that invests in communications, information, and media businesses.

Citadel Broadcasting Corporation is a radio broadcaster focused primarily on acquiring, developing and operating radio stations in mid-sized markets throughout the United States.
