Citadel Broadcasting Appoints Judy Ellis as COO.

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 16, 2002

Citadel Broadcasting Corporation, a leading operator of radio stations in mid-sized markets throughout the U.S., today announced that Judy Ellis will be joining the company as its Chief Operating Officer. Ellis is currently with Emmis Communications where she manages all of its radio stations, including HOT 97, in New York, the nation's largest radio revenue market.

Over the last 20 years in radio broadcasting, Ellis has demonstrated a strong expertise for growing and developing stations. Most recently, as the Senior Vice President and Market Manager at Emmis, she managed one of the most profitable clusters in the country, having kept all of her stations consistently in the Top 10 in the #1 Market in the country.

Throughout her career, Ellis has received many awards and distinctions including being named 'General Manager of the Year' by Radio and Records and one of Radio Ink Magazine's top radio managers in the country and one of the most influential women in broadcasting. Judy is a graduate of the University of California at Berkley.
