Echelon Corporation (Nasdaq:ELON) today announced that Robba Benjamin, Vice President and General Manager of Cisco Systems' Consumer Line of Business will deliver a keynote address at Echelon's LonWorld99(TM) Conference and Exhibition to be held October 13-15 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Ms. Benjamin joins previously announced keynote speakers Francesco Caio, Chief Executive Officer of home appliance manufacturer Merloni Elettrodomestici and Jeong Oung Karl, President of the Korean conglomerate Daelim Information & Telecommunications Co., Ltd.

With an anticipated 150 exhibitors and 3,000 attendees, LonWorld99 is the world's largest conference and exhibition focused on the networking of everyday devices. This year's conference, with the theme Plugging the Network into Controls, will highlight the explosive market opportunities enabled when networks of everyday devices in homes, buildings, factories, and transportation systems are made accessible from anywhere in the world over the Internet.
