Cisco Systems Completes Acquisition of Internet Junction, Inc.SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 31, 1996--Cisco Systems Inc. today announced the completion of its purchase of privately held Internet Junction, Inc., effective October 6, 1995. The acquisition follows Cisco's agreement to purchase all outstanding common stock and employee stock options of Internet Junction, Inc. Internet Junction management, employees and product line are now part of Cisco's Internet Business Unit, headed by General Manager Ed Kozel. Internet Junction develops and sells network gateway software, providing Novell NetWare users with a complete solution for simplified connection to Internet resources such as the World Wide Web. Internet Junction was founded in March 1994 and is based in Mountain View, Calif. The company's mission is to provide simple and effective access to the Internet, to develop applications that address the need for secure Internet communications and to provide powerful tools for managing Internet access.
