Cisco Achieves Global ISO 9001 Certification.

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 24, 1995--Cisco Systems is the first major supplier of internetworking products to be awarded global ISO 9001 certification, an internationally recognized endorsement for quality management standards.

This certification provides assurance to Cisco's global customer base that the processes involved in the design and development; the manufacture; and service and support of Cisco products adhere to the ISO 9001 quality management standard which is the most stringent and comprehensive of the ISO 9000 series of quality management standards.

BVQI is an independent third-party registrar accredited in 13 countries worldwide. The global ISO 9001 certification, awarded in July, 1995 is valid for three years subject to periodic auditing by the third-party registrar. In November 1993, Cisco was awarded full ISO 9001 certification by BVQI for quality management and quality assurance in the U.S.
