In order to introduce these services to the consumer, Cirus is launching a comprehensive advertising campaign that will utilize multiple forms of media including ethnic newspapers, magazines and journals, as well as radio and billboard advertising. Cirus is focusing its sales and marketing efforts towards the retail markets because they have a much higher propensity to call internationally. The overall price per minute charged to customers is much higher on international traffic versus domestic traffic, allowing Cirus to achieve higher revenues on lower calling volumes. This enables the most effective utilization of our existing switching and networking facilities. The greater gross margins for this retail traffic are estimated at 30-40% versus 3-7% on wholesale traffic. Major Carriers are often unwilling to service the ethnic and small business segment due to cultural and language barriers, leaving carriers like Cirus to penetrate this market, which is estimated to represent as much as $5 billion in total annual telecommunications expenditures. Currently the ethnic business market is primarily served by smaller telecommunications providers who often lack the financial and technical resources to compete with Cirus. Cirus also owns and operates five "Cirus Talk" multi-service telecom centers in New York New York, state, United States New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States.
