The company manufactures its own chipsets (data pumps) and often leads with innovations. Its HST protocol was a high-speed, reliable protocol before V. Corporation. (NASDAQ:USRX) to license the latter's new x2 modem technology for enabling 56Kbps Internet data rates over common (POTS) phone lines. Cirrus Logic intends to offer x2-compliant modem chipset solutions, based on its current FastPath Telephony Platform, as Internet Service Providers Internet service provider (ISP) Company that provides Internet connections and services to individuals and organizations.
