Delta Sigma technology plays an important role in the conversion of analog signals from sources such as microphones and sensors into the digital data streams utilized by audio products, modems, and other digital systems. The defendants in the suit were OPTi Inc. of Milpitas, Calif., TriTech Microelectronics Pte Ltd PTE LTD Private Limited . of Singapore and TriTech Microelectronics International Inc. of San Jose San Jose, city, United States San Jose (sănəzā`, săn hōzā`), city (1990 pop. 782,248), seat of Santa Clara co., W central Calif.; founded 1777, inc. 1850. , Calif. The jury indicated the patents were valid, that both OPTi and Tritech infringed, and that Tritech's infringement was willful. Cirrus Logic's Crystal division will be asking the court to issue an injunction whereby sales of the TriTech and OPTi products employing this technology are barred within the United States.
