Cirrus Logic Names Steven D. Overly Chief Financial Officer.

AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 26, 2002

Cirrus Logic (Nasdaq:CRUS) today announced that Steven D. Overly has been named senior vice president and chief financial officer, reporting to David D. French, president and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board. . Overly has been acting CFO See Chief Financial Officer.  since October 2001.

In addition to his duties as the company's chief financial officer, Overly will remain the company's general counsel and will continue to oversee Human Resources.

"Steve is a valued member of our executive management team, and we are pleased to acknowledge his financial management leadership by naming him our CFO," said French. "We will continue to rely on Steve's expertise and business acumen to help us guide Cirrus in our next phase of growth."

Overly joined Cirrus Logic from International Wireless Communications Holdings Corp, where he was president and CEO. Prior to that he was vice president and general counsel at Lockheed Martin Telecommunications and division general counsel at General Electric Astro Space. In these positions he gained significant experience in business and financial management, as well as extensive transactional experience in the Asia markets where Cirrus expects significant revenue growth.
