) today announced the appointment of Mr. Toshio Kurihara as new president of Cirrus Logic K.K., located at Aioi Sonpo Building 6F, 5-6 Niban-cho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Japan.

Mr. Kurihara has 29 years of industry experience. Mr. Kurihara assumed his new duties as of January 21, 2002, succeeding acting president, Terry M. Leeder, who will return to his main duties as Vice President of Worldwide Sales, based at Cirrus Logic's corporate headquarters in Austin, Texas.
